Fear in our life

  • Aug. 11th, 2008 at 8:40 PM

Fear

Fear, the false evidence that appears real.

Always trust in God to bring you through a circumstance.

I’ve been involved in 3 parades since April 08 this year.

First is RSN parade, 2nd SAF day parade, and third NDP parade.

Since RSN day parade in April when I almost fainted, I since then always dreaded parade.

When people see it as a way to perform on national TV, I see it as a torture as I do not know when I’ll faint, which will disgrace the whole of my unit.

I started to develop a fear in my heart which I contain in my heart all the way to one day, when God showed me His love for me.

I went rollerblading on this day, which I had always hated to do.

I fell badly the first time when I was sec 4 and I did not try it again because it’s a EGO thing. As a guy, I love to do things which I’m good at, but God just lead me to do it anyway.-_-“

I mean in the beginning I faces some hiccups like unable to balance and moving very slowly.

As I move a certain distance, I started to feel tired and needed a rest. Throughout the whole process, my friend was with me to hold, to balance, to teach and buy drinks for me.

Isn’t this the same as when the Holy Spirit leads you? He never leaves or forsakes you, always leading and guiding you, nourishing you and give/impart to you and replenishes you.

I just felt so loved by God!

Many a time in our life, God wants us to take a step of faith to believe in Him, and let Him hold our hands and bring us through.

On the way back, I found out that actually all the humps in ECP from Bedok Jetty to MACs on my way back had been removed.

I just felt God is telling me that you know, whenever I am being put into or facing a circumstance, all I have to do is to believe in Him for He had removed all the obstacles ahead of me, therefore, it will be a smooth journey Amen!

You may wobble and unable in the beginning, but know that God will not leave you that way, but make you stronger and sturdier. Amen.

Ended up, I bladed from Macs to Bedok Jetty and back!

My friend could be said as a good teacher for teaching blading, but the Holy Spirit is the best teacher in the world as He is one who can teach you all things according to your preferences, for He knows you inside out! Trust in Him for He is faithful!

Lets look at Numbers 13 when the lord called Moses to send some men to explore the land of Canaan.

Report on the Exploration

26 They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 They gave Moses this account: "We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan."

30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it."

31 But the men who had gone up with him said, "We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are." 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, "The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them."

12 men was send and only Caleb and Joshua believe that they could conquer the land.

Did Caleb and Joshua not see the same things like the rest of the ten where the land was bountiful?

Did Caleb and Joshua not see the same people that the rest saw as giants in the land?

Yes, they did, but above all, Caleb and Joshua saw God’s heart and know that God will prepare His man and will remove all obstacles ahead of them.

Isn’t this the same as us, having fears in our minds and heart like the rest of the scouts when we meet changes, when we saw challenges ahead of us? We will think of running away from the circumstances and afraid to face it, thus amplifying our fear and giving ourselves excuses not to face it?

I choose to be like Joshua and Caleb, to believe that when God brings you to it, He will bring you through it. God will not leave you there alone! He will lead you to victory. I’m not saying this because I said so, but because the bible said so!

Continue reading the book of Joshua, how God lead the Israelites to victory each and every time they follow His word.

The Israelites don’t just destroy their enemies, they DESTROY the enemies COMPLETELY. And I mean COMPLETELY!

Joshua 10:28

28 That day Joshua took Makkedah. He put the city and its king to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it. He left no survivors. And he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

On the day of my actual parade, the NDP PARADE, my heart still beat rather fast. However, deep down in my heart, I just keep proclaiming the victory that God has given me, that this parade will be a success not because I’m good, but because He’s good!

Throughout the whole parade, I just felt so loved by God and I enjoyed the parade! Praise God! The parade was a success!

For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but He has given us a spirit of power and sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

When God leads you to an area that you may not be familiar with, trust in Him to bring you through it. AMEN!

Jesus as the core

  • Aug. 3rd, 2008 at 9:13 PM

When Jesus is being place in the centre of your heart, your life will never ever be the same again.

I love this poem.

When I Say "I Am A Christian"

by Carol Wimmer

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I get lost!"
"That is why I chose this way."

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
and pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
and cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
my flaws are too visible
but God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches
which is why I seek His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian"
I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority.
I only know I'm loved.

When I say I am a Christian, does it mean that i'm saying I'm perfect? No.

I still get angry and judge ppl (complain in the sense), I still feel upset when things aren't going my way, I still have fears in my life which i dare not approach.
When I say I am a Christian, I actually want you to know more about my God in my life, who has sent His son Jesus to die for my sins, and set me free from my bondages in my life.
Jesus was judge on the cross, so that I'll not be judge.
Jesus was forsaken by God on the cross, so that I am accepted by God.

God gives people the freedom to choose, and i'm telling you to choose to come and know this God personally, and you'll never regret your choice!

When the world is spinning

  • Jun. 22nd, 2008 at 2:58 PM

The world is changing at the speed of light and we are in parades feeling the time has stopped.

There are parades almost everyday rehearsing for SAF DAY and NDP.
Waking up before sunrise and "pang Kang" after sunset.
March from suntec convention hall all the way to the floating platform in NO.1.
Being made as backdrop as being are taking photos.LoL
How "honoured" can that be? lol
Schedule of the day is usually like this. Eat, Sleep, parade, eat, sleep, Parade, EAT Home Sweet SEmbawang camp.
Anyway, i would prefer to have parades than diving.

In spite of feeling that time had become stagnant during parade, weeks still flew past like days which it shouldn't be.
"Feelings are true, but it can't deny the fact that the world is still spinning while u remain stagnant, you got to move on."

Love isn't only about holding hands, Love is about holding hearts.
Love isn't the end, Love is only the beginning. (QUOTED from friend)

God, I lay down my life at ur feet.

Life suppose to be simple

  • Jun. 22nd, 2008 at 2:31 PM

Life isn't suppose to be complicated, but we love to make it complicated.
Its suppose to be A, then B, followed by C.

If only it could be.

I am the beloved of GOd

Casting Crowns - Who Am I
Lyrics

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wondering heart.

Not because of who I am.
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord you catch me when I'm falling,
And you told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again
Who am I?
That the voice that calm the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am.
But because what of youve done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord you catch me when I'm falling,
And you told me who I am.
I am yours.

Not because of who I am.
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done.
But because of who you are.

Chorus:
I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow.
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord you catch me when I'm falling,
You told me who I am.
I am yours.
I am yours.

Whom shall I fear?
Whom shall I fear?
'Cuz I am yours.
I am yours.

When the sky changes its colour

  • Jun. 8th, 2008 at 11:36 PM

I'm so addicted tot the song "The CAll" by Regina Spektor.

Just because everything's changing
Doesn't mean it's never been this way before
And follow the light Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget

The only thing that is constant in this world is change.
A fact that you can't change is change itself.

Ever seen the sky changes its colour during sunrise and sunset?
Its so nice seeing sunrise, when the dark sky is being lit up by the sun, when the horizon is being split by the rays which makes the sky red.
Its so beautiful to see sunset, when night will fall and stars start twinkling

Are you willing to let go of what you have now that is so dear to your heart and let God do the rest?
Are you still holding on to something which wasn't meant to be?

I still do, and i'm learning to let go, let God.

If there was such

  • Jun. 2nd, 2008 at 12:56 AM

It started out as a feeling, and can it stay like the initial feeling, when its still the most innocent and pure?
When its still a seed?
When the leaves has not sprout?
The stem not yet grown, the flowers not yet bloom, the fruits not yet born, and seeds not yet produced.
At the point the farmer not yet expect returns, and the only desire is for the seed to grow.
Can all things just remain at the most initial stage, the sweetest part of it all?

Regina Spektor The Call

  • Jun. 2nd, 2008 at 12:48 AM

Regina Spektor The Call Lyrics ( THE CASPIAN KING )

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
'till it was a battle cry

I'll come back..
When you call me
No need to say good bye

Just because everything's changing
Doesn't mean it's never been this way before

All you can do is try to know who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light

You'll come back when its over
No need to say good bye
You'll come back when it's over
No need to say good bye.

Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget

Let your memories grow stonger and stonger
'til they're before your eyes

You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye

Dance

  • May. 31st, 2008 at 12:53 AM

Went to AcjC dance concert tonight, it was awesome.
Although most of the time i was looking at u know, but overall, I would give it a 9/10,
It would be 10/10 if i was inside though. =S

MIssing some break dance moves i would say.

Halfway through, the desire to dance just kick in man.
WHO WANA LEARN HIP HOP DANCING?

LoL. Would like to pick up some dance moves man, I guess my bones are real stiff.
Maybe some guitar lessons to polish up my musical talent.
My right brain needs some work, its not being pushed to its potential i would say, sadly, when I only
know how to play my recorder "mary had a little lamb" -_-"

And do u believe it? I actually forgotten that Tony Blair ( Anthony Charles Lynton Blair ) was the ex prime minister of the United Kingdom. I guess its the NS syndrome.

Crazy

  • May. 30th, 2008 at 1:46 AM

Crazy week! Parade after parade, dive after dive, although most dive ended by cancelled due to bad weather.
I guess its not the season for me to dive, coz the weather doesn't seem to allow me to even enter the water. Lol

Permission for church camp isn't approved yet, but i guess i got to try again on tuesday. If I don't try to ask, I'll never know what the outcome might be.

On the way to kallang for service. This female driver skills comparable to the one behind her. LOL!
I'm gd too, just that I need a GPS system to guide my way-_-"

Gotta sleep.

Became damn lazy to update blog man until Mel came asking. LOL. So i shall update now.

I has just plucked out 3 of my wisdom tooth, 2 upper and 1 lower, and my face is swelling now-_-"

but this week is quite fulfilling, met up wif quite a lot of my friends.

First with the jc friends who we had a bbq together at Javier's place.

First time our gathering got so many people who came man.

This is the first time cheryl and Gladys met in a gathering organised.

Shaz came with her new hairstyle so called like a look like darth vadar. ( I wasnt the one who said this=X )

Shufen introduced her new heart attack Version 2 game which ended up making terence head getting whacked.

Morris proposed to Sujata on this fateful day. WoOt!

Simaa and shufen just kept talking non-stop when they are with each other. Sometimes i wonder who is listening when they are talking since both talk non-stop.

Terence, jinhao javier and siyuan provided their stomach.

And I'm there to make the picture looks nicer.
Yup, thats my job=)

What i did in Taiwan

  • May. 4th, 2008 at 7:37 PM

One of the things we did in Taiwan is to take photos whenever we feel like it or when we buy something from the shop. I'll show u some of the photos we took before i book in later. Here goes...

This gal is called dan tou with melvin. Works in one of the multistorey shop in xin jue jiang. Get to know her coz melvin loves one of the bags in her shop and we go there almost every week to take a look at that bag-__-"
At the end of the trip, he bought another bag in another shop. -_-"
Anyway, she is 16 this year, believe it or not. LOL.

Dan tou with Elton

Dan tou with myself

Dan tou with ming long

Dan tou with hengyi who try to act tall.

This gal works in the same shop as dan tou. The guy name Yen. He said that she is quite poor thing
as nobody takes photo with her, so he did. LOL

This is one of the high end shop in xin jue jiang. Something like Ralph Lauren.
From left to right is Xian Juan 20, Yuri 17 and xiao wang 18.
Apparently, there seems to be something going on between xiao juan and xiao wang. LOL

Hengyi eye candy yuri.

yuri with myself.

Dwayne.

This is a street across xin jue jiang. I cant rmb her name as we didnt buy anything from her shop. LOL. But she is 22 this yr. LOL

Kenneth Ang aka Shang

She is xiao lin from one of the xin juan jiang shop. She didnt wanted to take this photo coz she didnt put on make up.
We actually are quite gd at persuading people and she agreed at the end of the day.

Update another time, time to book in.

Book out book out
book out all day long.

Back From taiwan

  • May. 2nd, 2008 at 11:31 PM

I got to say taiwan is an awesome place man.
I went to Gao chiung and its like bigger than singapore I would say.
The shop owners are generally much more courteous to customers than those found in SIngapore I would say.
One of the contributing factors may be due to them being mostly girls.

Seriously, most of them are at the age of 16-22? Its super surprising as some of them dun really look their age.
We guys happily went snapping around and asked them to take photos.
I'll post up the photos soon enough, I'm just so tired after parade today.

Talking about parades, There are like 30-40 plus more coming. Can't imagine my hand dangling up and down continuously for marching and carrying the rifle on my right hand for hours.
Well, the pros of the parade is that we get to wear NO 1 Uniform, which is fully white in colour with "Diver's badge upon my chest" ( beat that )
The cons as u can see, Saturdays are all burnt and mental breakdown.

Enough crapping, I'm going to sleep and go shop around tml.
ALL TOP SHOPS HAVING 20% OFF IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY KNOW.
MPH HAVING A SALE IN EXPO.

How amazing

  • Apr. 7th, 2008 at 1:29 AM

Have you ever been so amazed before.

Give a blank piece of paper to a Artist, you'll have drawing.
Give a empty strip memory card and a camera to a Photographer, you will have a picture.
Give a plot of land to a architecture, a building will be built.Give a empty house to a interior designer, you will have a home.Give an idea to a writer, you'll have a book.Give a blank look to a teacher, you'll get scoldings=X (Its a jokes serious=X )
Give me ur ears, I'll tell you what crap really is.

Give God a world, He created the universe.

Why are we so amazed, when God do something really. I amazed that I'm amazed too.

"God is just being GOd" like what pastor prince said.

So why are people trying so hard to prove? Prove that the universe is being created by 'big bang theory', that humans are transformed from apes. Get a life man, trying so hard to proof that your ancestors are actually animals, seems like a joke eh?

I thank God I have God.

Brunei Highlights

  • Mar. 29th, 2008 at 11:06 PM

I cant help it man, but Brunei is the trip that is so memorable.

This trip makes me realise I can leave without food for at least 3 days. ( Food really wasn't that impt to you anymore when you have given up hope of looking for them. What I did was to drink water. )
I know how to build a A Frame shelter. ( It should enable at least 1 person to sleep on it and not collapse. )
I know how to build a fire place with shelter. ( When the instructors came, I started the fire, and I was so gd that I made the fire burnt the roof made of leaves, and I got to run to take more leaves to cover the 'chao ta' leaves-_-" Higher roof baby, higher roof -_-" )
I know how to build a monitor lizard trap. ( When the instructors who stayed there for 3 yrs say they have yet to catch any -_-" As if monitor are that stupid to get caught. )

I learn to survive on river water, by putting chlorine tabs into it and I'll be able to drink it after 45 mins. ( 5mins is the actual timing, but due to singaporeans mindsets being kiasi, I've no choice but to follow the trend. LOL )
I learn that there are 3 other ways to get water.
 1) Tie a plastic bag and fill it with leaves still alive attach to the plant and fill it up to 75 percent. Due to photosynthesis, water vapour will condensed on the bag and form water. ( I put the bag there for 2 days and I got like 3 drops of water? imagine how many bags u got to put-_-" )
 2) Dig a hole in the ground, put a container below, cover the hole with a plastic bag, put a stone in the middle, and secure the sides of the plastic bag to the ground. It is said that the ground will give off water vapour, so water will condense on the plastic bag and drip to the container. ( Time consuming -_-" )
 3) FInd a water vine ( a kind of plant ) chop it at the top first then bottom, take out the whole branch, allow it to drip for a while, and the water can be drank at once.
I learn to find vines on trees. ( I never expect them to be so useful. I used them to tie my structures together, and its strong somehow for 3 to 5 days only. When the starts to dry up, you got to find new ones. Thank God its only 3 days-_-" )
I learn how to dig for tree roots to replace vines. ( Got abrasions on my hands cause of this. )
I learn that sleeping in the rain is only fun when you get to go home bathe and slp on ur bed after that.
I learn that cold treatment for hellweek has a reason behind it, thats JST. ( Shivering was a good way of describing my muscles movement. )
I learn that thunderstorm won't change the instructors mind to leave you there alone. ( One tree collapse which i think was struck my lightning. I thank God, my height is only 1.76m )
I learn that sand flies is the most irritating insects God has created. ( Let sand flies all die in Jesus name! )
I learn that jungle is full of music. ( The sand fly zooming around my head, the rain drops splattering sound, the trees struck down created a loud huha, my stomach growling, my teeth chattering. THE WORST THING IS THE FAMILY OPPOSITE MY SITE IS PLAYING TECHNO-_-" )
I learn how to test for edible food. 5s on inner arm, 5s on lips, 5s on tip of tongue, 5s under tongue, 5s on walls of tongue, eat chew eat out wait for 5 mins, cook it and eat it and wait for 5 hrs. If nothing happens, COngrats, one life saved! If irritation, vomiting or nausea occurs, the food may be poisionous and stop comsuming it. what else?
I dig a shit hole with a parang.
I made a fishing rod.
I killed a quail alive. Yes alive. I skin it and I got to identify the gall bladder to the instructors. 1 life gone.

I realised that there is nothing beats life without hope.
All of us took a bag load of 20 plus kg and conquered many mountains to be.
We got lost, went to the deepest valley in the area, we almost lost hope.
We lost our direction, ( I was leading-_-") we lost confidence. ( Saviour, he can move the mountains, my God is mighty to save, he is mighty to save )  The mountains remain there lah,  don't think too much.
But I thank God, He made me realise lots of things.

When I was having blisters on my legs and carrying my bag, of course, I'm having lots of unpleasant pain on both feet.
I suddenly thought of Jesus, who is carrying the cross to the calvary.
You know, when I was walking, my only hope is to reach camp so that I can rest, that was my motivation.
But for Jesus, He walk to be crucified.
He walked with pain not only on the legs, but His whole body.
He walked carrying our sins, our pain.
I was thinking, why Jesus, why do you still want to carry on walking?
He walked because of a promise.
He walked not for himself, He walked to save us.
Whats His motivation? It was us. Us!
Oh man, at that point, I am really touched.

One of the miracle occurred the same day.
Brunei rains everyday. Sometimes twice even.
The day I got stranded outside and got to sleep there, God blessed the weather.
It did not rain at all that night.
Why? Because God Loves me don't be envious=)
It was cold enough without the rain, can't imagine.

Life is just so wonderful.
It feels so good to wake up each day and realise you are alive.
Not stranded on an Island of course. -_-"

Being in this navy unit really teaches me a lot man.
Trust me, its sucky life as compared to the rest of the nsf in the whole of singapore.

But I never once regret being here.

It brought fulfillment, sense of satisfaction, unbelievable challenge of my mind.
It really allows me to see what I really want in my life.
But I'm tired now and i can't think what i really want to say.

I wanted so much to update but facebook stole the time away man. LOL

Facebook is full of crap man, what vampire wat growing gifts, but I cant deny the fact that it is more fun than friendster man.
( I'm entitled to my own opinion so well, disagree, don't read man )

Its easier to upload pics, and the walls, the updates, its like linking all the friends together man, by telling you what ur friends had done.
I would say they had help bridged the distance between people together, and helping some others to find their long lost friends.
Easier to start topics by writing crap on their wall instead of the usual way of calling them or smsing them suddenly which makes you sound really stupid or making them feel that you are calling with other motive. ( Maybe its just me man lOl )

I've been reading up on JAVA man. How to apply JAVA or whatever. Asked zf to give me the website so i can like read up?
Ns is fun sometimes, but its getting a bit boring because we are going TAIWAN, and all we need to do now is pack stores.
You know, army is a funny place.
They can't allow you to book out until the time is up.

E.G. You are suppose to book out at 12.30pm.
7.30am: Pack Store
9a.m: Finish packing
9a.m: Pease go do some body conditioning ( its a inside joke, ask me, if u really really really want to know. LoL )
12.30pm: book out. Crap, wasted 3 and a half hours of my life. GOd, please bless my officers brains!!!

If you go and calculate.
If you waste 3.5 hrs of a NSF.
So that means all the rest of the NSF 3.5 hrs are wasted.
So my unit has 60 NSF.
So 60 * 3.5 = 210hrs wasted.
Imagined every friday alone 210 hrs are wasted.
In a span of 2 yrs of NS, altogether there are 365/7 = 52.1428571
So total time wasted on friday is 52.142871 * 210
Work it out yourself.
I've not added time wasted on other days.

If the system don't change, we got to change man. So lots of us brought magazines, books, lecture notes (only LAu ZZ ) to enrich ourselves and not waste time man.

And I've been to sentosa twice last week.
One with NDU hunks.
One with NEwCREAtion ARROW mInistry Beloved oF GOd who are Super duPer Handsome anD Gorgeous!

Sunburnt on my face, and thats Crap. Wo Kao Lian Chi Fan de. ( for those ang moh potato, I depend on my face to eat )
Sunburnt on face, wisdom tooth growing the wrong way in my gum, imagine that. Guess I've too much wisdom, I'm going to donate my wisdom to the dentist. Too much wisdom causes pain in the gum-_-"

But I just love the sun n I hate the cold, the hunger that I felt in Brunei.
I love rain when I'm expecting it, as I love to play in the rain and starts getting emo-_-"
But I hated rain in Brunei, cause I felt helpless shivering all night sleeping in the open with the rain pouring on me.
( JEsus, all my fears they fade away, when I see you, when I see you )
Discomfort, Brunei had brought me.
Totally lost, lost sense of direction, lost my fire, lost the will.
Foot rot, hunger, no water.
If there was one thing I could do, it was to be able to fly out of that valley to see the route to camp.
But i realised, I'm only but a human.-_-"

I'm crapping alr, God bless you guys reading my crap, hope it makes you more crappy and you can crap more with me next time.
See you!

Back from Brunei

LOL! I'm finally back to the world of Civilisation!!

I'm back on saturday morning but you know, I'm so mentally tortured that I do not have the strength to sit still and write something about it. LOL.

BRunei is wonderful, the trials i get to experience there is totally unbelievable!`
I'll tell you, 10 MILLION BuCKAROOs. Thats how much the experience is worth man!

"I'm Loving it" ( sing it with the mac donald tune ) to be in Singapore man. You guys lucky piece of Super humungus intelligent toodlers.
PAY ME 1 ZILLION BUCKAROOS for me to go back n I'll tell you, "NO WAY".
But under the Singapore law, insubordination to superior may result in DB ( detention barrack )  for a minimum period of whatever, CRAP!

I'm going back again this dec. THIS DEC! crap. Firstly, no 1 zillion bucks for me. Secondly, I'm ORDing soon by then. Thirdly, Its the holiday mood period. Oh God, why have you forsaken me. ( I mean that was my initial response )

In Brunei, It was the lowest point of my life man. I mean for the 14 of us who didn't follow the instructions and planned our own expedition instead on that fateful day. I'll tell you man, I had disobeyed instructions from a officer, to emphasize, A OFFICER, and carried out my own plans for that day. BEAT THAT! ( Continue surfing my blog and I'll tell you how I do that )

I'm sounding pretty rebellious eh? =)

I had never experienced God so upclose before in my life. Its like your girlfriends saying sweet nothings in your ears that kind you get it?
( provided you have a gf now, if not you can be just like me, IMAGINE. Imagine you have a gf. If you r a gal, vice versa. )

He showed me the way, He guided my path, He told me He loves me the most. Neither the sky nor the deepest ocean could separate his love from me. n at that moment in time, I was in a valley, surrounded by so called "mountains", just that they r shorter that mountains.

I'll tell you guys more in my next post which is thurs night? Wait till I re-organise my thoughts. Till then, I'll tell you guys the gist of the whole BRUNEI trip.

Brunei, you will not be forgotten.

Accident avoided, Miracles made

I've not finished with my entry yet man.

1100
I took bus 39 from yishun mrt station home with my friends.

I can still remember I was at the extreme back seats with them talking crap again until finally I've decided to listen to Ipod and sleep.

You know, after I enter NS, I realise my ability, or should I say the capability to sleep has improved like OMG.
I can sleep in the most awkward position ever and it is at any point at any time of the day. As long as I'm allowed to sleep. In terms of sleeping, I can only say, I'm the king of my unit. The king who never get caught for sleeping before even though he sleeps secretly more than the rest. I think thats grace in another way LOL=)

Actually, there is a secret to not be caught sleeping fellow NS pals. It is to just sleep and don't care man LOL.
Have you ever tried sleeping secretly but realise your head is actually like nodding continuously, or get caught halfway?
THATS THE
WRONG WAY OF SLEEPING ALREADY, LET ME TEACH YOU.

JUST SLEEP. LOL.

Close your eyes, don't care just sleep. Close your eyes, give me your hand darling, do you feel my heart beating? Do you understand, do you feel the sense? am i only dreaming, is this burning like eternal flame... opps, i'm side tracking again.

Guess that shouldn't be the topic I was suppose to be talking about. Where was I? ( Still at home duh~)

Oh yes! I wanted to sleep in the bus, and guess what! Something dramatic HAPPENED!

I felt I was on a roller coaster going uphill, with all the forward force acting against me and it finally caught to a stop with a jerk.

Ray: OMG, WHat happened?

Mervyn: The bus was jam breaking.

Ray: Yea, that I also know, I'm on the same bus as you you know. Like der~ right?

Biwei: There is a lorry facing us now, I think he sleeps than steer the steering wheel 180 degrees.
( Like for goodness sake, the bus was facing the lorry where it stopped. they are like 5 cm away. I couldn't imagine if the bus didn't like jam break on time, and the lorry driver would be like flat? Minched meat? err? omg )

Ray: Like daytona sia, how he do that? and omg, look behind the bus, the skidded mark. CRAP!

Doong: Luckily the driver is vigilant enough man.

Hengyi: Wah, sibei heng, if not our officers need to write 5 accident reports liao.

Ray: Yar lor, imagine the van behind ram the bus, OMG, NO NEED TO GO BRUNEI LiAO. But not worth it leh. The van ram the bus, although VoLVO super hard, the glass shutter, I'll get cuts, how about my handsome face?

P.S Dialogue added has some description added to enhance the effect of the accident.
Therefore, please do not quote anything from there. Thank you!

Now the king of sleeping can't sleep due to the increase of adrelins( dunno how to spell) in the body, King do have their down times sometimes.

Seriously, in just now that senario, I couldn't imagine if the bus driver wasn't vigilant enough.
It was such a close shave you know, like 5 cm away from the lorry I'm serious!
The van behind came to a complete stop quite close as well. Like he could see me eye to eye that close.
It must be God you know, to help avoid such a accident.
It must be.

It must be Him who alerted the driver. ( BUS 39 SBS 720G on 4th march 2008 1115 )
It must be Him who pulled the bus back to prevent such an accident.
It must be Him who control the traffic to prevent other cars from ramming up.

Its sort of almost impossible to believe you know, that all the cars wasn't even scratched or damaged in such a senario. To me, its a miracle.

Once again He showed me.

Nothing is impossible with Him around.

OKay! More about
Brunei. For those who didn't know, Brunei is make up of alot of people. ( Trying to make this entry idiot proof you see )

Most of the people there are staunch( firm or steadfast in principle ) muslims, who are like super strong in faith and principle for their religion. And if you didn't know, they people there are rather rich in financial due to their country having abundance of oil. ( I've abundance of oil too, in my tummy, I'm selling it away in
Brunei, You will see a skinnier version of me when I'm back =) ) BTW, Alcohol is also ban in Brunei if you didn't know. Punishable by I've no idea.

So, the brief from the instructors was for us not to violate any of their rules in their country.
As we will be in the jungle over there with no food ( FOOD, can u imagine me with no food? I'll go crazy maybe LOL )  for 4 days and 3 nights,
(its part of the programme, which is to starve us. I'm Kidding if u really do believe-_-" )
they do not want us to butter trade with the people staying there, as it might offend those tribes over there and you may see me no more='(

We were supposed to go in groups of 3, and no butter trade is allowed and if I can't find food, hmm, maybe I'll tell my instructors that 1 of my friend got lost=X

( TO make it idiot proof if u don't understand the joke, it means I'll eat my friend-_-" ) I'm not surprised if someone I know say he/she don't understand the joke LOL.

The programmes are about jungle survival skills man, how to build shelter fireplace trap for animals, how to find food and test the edibility of the food by some methods and to find water to drink. I guess I'll just drink water and look at the love of Jesus. As the chinese saying goes, "you ai, he shui bao", it means with love, drinking water will be full.

You must understand chinese in order to understand that, time to brush up on ur chinese if u don't understand.

Grace grace man, a time to look to Jesus. I'm always at the end of myself since the day I enter NDU man.

First, its water confidence.

Now, its uncomfort and food.

When God brings me to it, He will bring me through it.

He will bring me to the place where the cleanest water could me found.

He will bring me to the place where I can set my trap to catch animals so i can butter trade them for food from the instructors.

He will bring me to fish at a place where there are alot of fish.

He will stop the rain from coming until i build finish my shelter.

He will show me the stars He made to entertain me at night when I have nothing to do.

He will bless me with dreams to entertain me when I'm asleep.

He will put rainbows in the sky on the 3rd day, to tell me its just 1 more daY!

Suddenly feel so enthusiastic about going Brunei now man, so how? After I said so much, anyone want to join me for the trip? =)
